This week’s workout of the week may look familiar… it’s a twist on the classic CrossFit workout: “Nicole”! The format is the same, but instead of pulling we’re pushing! With the weather warming up, it was a real treat to get outside and in the sunshine with today’s workout!
Max Unbroken Strict Handstand Push-ups
The goal of today’s workout is to accumulate as many strict handstand push-ups as possible in 20 minutes. We’re going to kick it off with a 400 meter run and then accumulate as many reps as possible in one set. The moment we break, we head back out the door for another 400 meter run. Continue in this format for the full 20 minutes, which will yield around 5 to 7 sets total!
Any variation of an overhead press will work as a scaling option for today. Whether it’s handstand push-up with our feet on a box or the floor, or a shoulder press with a pair of dumbbells or a barbell. Find an option that’ll allow you to get at least 10 reps unbroken and then fight to maintain it!
